About Our Practice
Avery Dental Group was formed in Broadview Heights in 1971 by Dr. E. Tartara. The foundation of our practice has always been the patients. We have striven to build long lasting relationships by developing the trust of each individual patient. We began with the ideal of providing not only the highest quality dentistry in the Cleveland area, but anywhere. The caring team of professionals has strived to make every dental visit a positive experience. This commitment to our patients enabled the practice to rapidly grow through positive word of mouth.
In order to keep up with the latest technologies, the practice was moved, in 1981, to its current location at 8200 Avery Road. To meet the increasing patient demand, Drs. Kathryn Apotsos, Tom Steffas, and Jonathan Tartara were added to the team. Our dentists have earned the reputation over the years for providing quality, compassionate care. Recent years proved the need for a larger facility not only to serve our many patients, but as well as to be able to provide the most modern technologies and services. We have again renovated and expanded our office to meet these needs.
Our practice provides comprehensive general care. Services provided include same-day crowns, dental implants, root canal therapy, bridgework, full and partial dentures, and extractions. In addition, we are there when you are in need, providing convenient evening and weekend hours. Dental emergencies are generally seen the same day. Commitment to excellence has earned the trust of our patients. Many patients are now fourth-generation, because of the strong relationships developed with the dental team.

Having a state-of-the-art dental facility, equipped with the latest technology, provides optimal care for you and your family. Our team strives to stay on the cutting-edge of the latest advancements, keeping the patient’s best interest in mind. CEREC® same-day crowns provide top-quality restorations in one visit, so you can get back to your busy life. Intraoral cameras are used to help with patient education. The digital X-Ray system used provides 2/3 less radiation.
In addition to the best diagnostic and treatment equipment on the market, the entire team is continually furthering their education through courses, work-shops, and meetings with industry representatives. Our staff believes it is imperative to stay on top of the latest development in dental education to provide the best quality care.
